How the Trading System Works

A disciplined, risk-managed approach to trading trends — not guessing tops and bottoms.

This page is designed for new visitors. If this doesn’t match your trading style, that’s okay.

The System in One Minute

  • Identify the trend using price structure

  • Wait for a 3-wave pullback

  • Enter only in predefined “Box” zones

  • Take partial profits on the reaction

  • Move stops and let the trend decide the exit

  • We do not chase price, predict news, or trade emotionally.

Core Philosophy

The goal of this system is not to catch exact tops or bottoms.

The goal is to manage risk, control exposure, and follow a repeatable process.

If you need constant action or perfect entries, this system is not for you.

Tools Used in the System

  • Elliott Wave structure (for context, not prediction)
  • Fibonacci levels (to project pullback zones)
  • RSI & momentum (to confirm strength)
  • Chart patterns (for larger breakouts)
  • Sentiment awareness (fear vs. euphoria — not headlines)
  • No single indicator is ever used alone.

What Is “The Box”?

  • A “Box” is a predefined price zone where risk is acceptable.
  • Trades are only taken inside these boxes.
  • No box = no trade.
  • This prevents emotional entries and overtrading.

Risk & Money Management

  • Planned risk is typically limited to ~1-2% per trade; gaps or slippage can cause losses to exceed the planned amount.
  • Partial profits reduce exposure early
  • Stops are moved as structure improves
  • Capital is spread across multiple sectors
  • Capital preservation always comes first.

What This System Avoids

  • Chasing momentum
  • Trading news or macro predictions
  • Overtrading chop and congestion
  • Penny stocks and hype trades
  • Emotional “must trade every day” behavior

Hypothetical equal measured move: $120 to $108 is $12; projecting down from $115 gives $103.

Our Trading Language

These terms describe parts of the analysis. A projection or a developing wave structure still has to fit the trend, the predefined Box, and the risk-management plan.

Equal measured move

An equal measured move projects the price distance of one swing from the end of the intervening countertrend swing. It gives us a reference price area to evaluate alongside the wave structure. Reaching that area does not, by itself, confirm a reversal or qualify a trade.

Hypothetical educational example. The measurement identifies a reference area, not an automatic entry.

Wave Compression Setup

A Wave Compression Setup is our term for a developing series of 1–2 waves that suggests price action is building pressure for a larger directional move. The interpretation can be bullish or bearish. It remains a scenario until the structure confirms; a break of its defined invalidation level means that interpretation has failed.

A failed setup can be followed by a sharp move in the opposite direction, but neither continuation nor failure guarantees an explosive move. “Compression” describes the price structure here; it is not a standalone volatility measurement or an entry signal.

For either concept, the chart must identify the relevant structure, what would confirm the interpretation, and what would invalidate it. The existing Box and risk rules still apply.
